On May 12th, 2017 we saw the biggest cyber attack in the Internet history & it was bigger than the Dyn DDoS. A ransomware (a virus) named WannaCry lock the Pc & then ask for money to decrypt it.

In first few hours then locked more than 200,000 machines (Company Computers).They have locked to many big Companies in Europe.First, they were only locking company computer/machines but now they have started hacking individual Pc.

How it Works:
They Send you attachment on email or message you.You open or Download that attachment & the Ransomware enters your PC & lock it.Then they Give you 3-4 days & ask you to give money ($100-1000) to decrypt it.To big Companies, they say that they will leak all their data if they do not give money to them.

How You Get Attachment:

  • Email
  • Redirection to malicious websites
  • Malvertising campaigns
  • SMS
  • Botnets
  • Downloading Unkown Attachments

How are at Risk:

  • Window 8
  • Window XP
  • Window Servers 2003

How to be Safe:
  1. Do not Store Important Data in PC. Save it in External Hard Drive
  2. Do not Download any Unknown Attachment
  3. Make Backup of your data daily
  4. Use Good Antivirus
  5. For Daily Use Do not use Administrator Account, use Guest Account
  6. Try Removed some plugins from your browsers: Adobe Flash, Adobe Reader, Java and Silverlight.
  7. Use an Adblocker
  8. Must Remove Out to Dated Plugins
  9. Use Window 10
  10. Try to Use the latest Software because they will try to protect you.
